This air purifier works great. It is perfect for the recommended room size, You can tell the difference and it's quiet.It has basically one control and thats the fan speed 1,2 or 3 which does not have a timer.

3 speeds but don't expect to have a conversation or listen to the TV on anything but the lowest speed .. the good news is that the noise stopped suddenly, just about a year after purchasing the product (of course it doesn't work anymore either). To be fair, I can't find the model number on my unit but it looks pretty much like this one. If not, maybe an earlier version but they also sound the same based on the description.

This is a current QuietFlo model and is all digital. Good filter system and a fairly quiet low speed. For the first 2-3 weeks, it gave off a slight plastic-type smell...I don't know if it was the charcoal pre-filter or the plastic housing. This odor is diminishing with time. I would buy another.
